Re-Elect Senator Andy Sanborn

About Andy and Laurie

Born and raised in Lebanon, NH, Andy Sanborn is a 4th generation New Hampshire native. A graduate of New England College in Henniker NH, he focused his business degree on Finance, Economics, and Marketing. After college, Mr. Sanborn spent 15 years working in the New Hampshire Commercial Lending industry going as far back as Indian Head Bank, and he finished his corporate finance career in Chicago, overseeing a large international leasing company.

Today, along with his best friend and wife of 24 years, Andy and Laurie are involved in several industries, including R & D manufacturing in the automotive industry, real estate development, and financial consulting. Additionally, he may be most notably known as the owner of a local restaurant in Concord called The Draft. He is also on the Board of Directors for the New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association and is active with several charitable organizations.

As a business owner, Andy has experienced so much that is good and challenging in running large and small companies. These experiences have provided him the tools and abilities to confront today’s challenges in Government. While some may simply complain or wring their hands with indecision, Andy has proven an ability to create real world solutions to solve problems.

In 2010 he was elected to the State Senate, where he has been crafting legislation and working to solve some of the State’s economic challenges.

Rep. John Cebrowski

Last year, I sponsored a bill, House Bill 351, that sought to enable insurance coverage for naturopathic doctors, NDs, whose protocols and practices are prevention oriented, cost effective, and help fill a primary care provider shortage in New Hampshire. Even though the bill garnered bipartisan support, it was a tough slog getting it though the House, which my team of co-sponsors and I did.

That is when Andy stepped up to the plate in the Senate. I witnessed his leadership, creativity, inside-the-Senate lobbying, stick-to-itiveness…and engineering of an amendment to get the bill passed in the Senate. My endorsement of Andy has its basis in the integrity and behaviors he exhibited during the course of that contentious process. We worked as a team, and I am a big fan of teamwork. I also know he has exhibited those behaviors in numerous other situations with other legislators. The man is a committed fighter for New Hampshire needs, which is what Senate District 9 demands.

You can feel confident that you will have a Senator working hard for you.
